DJ help

Some people like
mysql some like firebird.
I prefer firebird as it's not complicated to
install and is fairly easy to use.
We will also give you links to SAMS
software, and other needed things to get you up and running as a
DJ.
Firebird
This is needed for SAMS to run
Frostwire
You can use this if
you want. But if you want a good one torrents are the way to go.
SAMS
for Firebird
You'll need this once you installed Firebird as this is
specially designed for Firebird.
MP3 Rocket
Another good source to find music.
Limewire
Another good source to find music.
MYSQL
For those that perfer to use MYSQL then here is your
download link.
SAMS
for MYSQL
If you decide to go with MYSQL then you'll need this to make
SAMS work.
First and
foremost you must either install MYSQL and or Firebird before you can even
install SAMS on your computer.
SAMS runs off
these programs so that you can broadcast live on over the internet.
After you
install either MYSQL and or Firebird that's it. You'll never have to do anything
else with that ever again.
Next step to get you set up
now is to insall SAMS.
You'll need a registration
code so that you won't lose SAMS ever.
Next we will be
adding your encoders to the specified area.
Make sure you scroll down to see
a box that says Encoders.
Then wait for it to pop up, and this is what it
will look like.
Next we will be
helping you set up the encoders right so that you can broadcast through
SAMS.
Once you click on the + sign you'll have a box like this
Make sure you click MP3
and MP3 PRO once that is done. Just hit ok and we'll move onto the next
step.
Click
on the box that says Server Details.
Now you will get another box that looks
like the one shown.
Now all you have to
do is type in..(Important:You can not copy and paste in this area)or it
will not work properly.
Type in all the information here. The only places you
can copy and paste are the website URL, AIM,ICQ #, and the IRC Channel.
Once
this is done you can click ok then go up to save file
configuration.
Now we will be setting up your relays so that you can
see how many people are listening to you as you DJ.
Go back up to the window
and make sure static relays are shown in the main control panel.
Again click on the +
sign and you'll have something that looks like this.
Once you get this.
You'll want the Shoutcast static relay then click ok.
Now you'll get another
box that looks like this.
Here you'll be able to
enter the host information. It'll be the same as the server information you used
up top to set up your encoders.
Port is also the same, as well as the
password. Once you have entered all this information you can click ok.
Also
make sure you go up to where you can save the current configuration so you won't
lose this information.
Then you can try to see if you got it set up right by
right clicking on the encoders and clicking on start.
If it's set up
correctly you'll get a disconnect error 200 then your ready to go.
But if
you get another error then something went wrong and you can ask someone in the
room to help you get the information right.
